Danish Speaker Jobs in Greece — Relocate to Athens with Full Support

Athens hosts the Greek operations of some of Europe's largest BPO and customer experience companies. Danish speakers are actively employed across a range of leading international organisations and fast-scaling tech and SaaS companies. These organisations maintain permanent Danish-language desks across customer service, technical support, back-office, and trust & safety functions — creating reliable, year-round hiring demand with new Danish vacancies opening every week.

Mercier Consultancy Group is an established recruitment partner for these clients. We submit pre-screened, qualified Danish-speaking candidates directly to hiring managers — bypassing the standard applicant queue. This results in faster interviews, faster offers, and higher placement rates than applying directly or through a generic job board.

No — you do not need to speak Greek to work in Greece. All Danish speaker roles in Athens operate in Danish and English. Your customers are Danish-speaking, your colleagues come from across Europe, and the official office language in international BPO companies is English. Many Danish professionals who have relocated to Athens speak zero Greek and have no difficulty working or living in the city.

That said, learning a few words of Greek is appreciated locally — and Athens has a well-integrated international expat community that makes settling in straightforward, even without the language.

For most Danish candidates, the answer is a clear yes. The combination of a full relocation package (flights + accommodation covered upfront), 2 extra salaries per year (Greek 13th & 14th month pay), a significantly lower cost of living, year-round Mediterranean weather, and a fast-growing international career scene in Athens makes this one of the most attractive international moves available to Danish professionals right now.

Greece's healthcare system is accessible to all EU citizens, the food culture is world-class, and Athens has a vibrant, affordable social scene. Most Danish candidates describe the transition as much smoother and more rewarding than they expected.

Mercier Consultancy has successfully placed Danish speakers in Greece from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and beyond. We handle every step: job matching, employer introduction, offer negotiation, and relocation coordination — all at zero cost to you.

One of the strongest hiring pipelines for Danish speakers in Greece right now is Booking.com, which recruits Danish-speaking reservations agents to work remotely from Greece. As a Danish-speaking reservations agent for Booking.com, you join one of the world's most recognised travel brands while enjoying the Mediterranean lifestyle and a significantly lower cost of living than in Denmark. The position is open to Danish speakers who hold a valid EU passport, and prior experience in hospitality or customer service is helpful but not always required.

If you are a Danish speaker currently living outside Denmark — in Sweden, Norway, Germany, the UK, or anywhere else in the EU — you are fully eligible to apply, provided you hold a valid EU passport.
